Business Advisory Organisation – Senior Manager – Learning & Development – Based London, Essex, Home Working - Up to £70,000


Our client a Leading National Business Advisory Firm are sourcing a new Senior Manager – Learning & Development.

Based within the offices in London, Essex and occasionally within the UK/home working, it will be critically important to build a strong working relationship with HR and Partners.




  • Direct all L&D activity to meet organisational, regional, local and individual needs.
  • Manage the L&D budget and external resources. Part of this will be to advise the Partners on what different budgets can achieve and what “good” looks like from the external market
  • Develop an L & D plan that meets business needs.
  • Build strong relationships with the COO, Partners, HRD and other key stakeholders in order to gain a full understanding of the capability requirements and skills gaps across the company.
  • Direct all L&D activity to meet organisational, regional, local and individual needs.
  • Maintain and develop the firm’s current performance measures to ensure they are fit for purpose e.g. technical competences, factors and general competencies for the role.
  • Work alongside the relevant Partners to identify, prioritise and support learning and knowledge needs, ensuring that technical knowledge and regulatory developments are continually shared.
  • Oversee all accreditation and re-accreditation activities.
  • Ensure an effective framework is in place to support learning needs at all sites and drive an element of self service.
  • Manage and develop an apprenticeship strategy making the best use of the Apprenticeship Levy.
  • Deliver a blended programme of learning at CPD level covering both people and technical skills requirements, responding to business needs.
  • Ensure that evaluation, feedback and regular assessments are undertaken so that L&D activity continues to add value.


The successful individual is required to be able to sell to and establish credibility with the Partners.

You should Degree educated (or equivalent experience) with Extensive experience as an L & D specialist

Preferably, previous experience in a professional services firm or financial services business, ideally with a partnership model, similar headcount and make up of employee base.
